Osotspa Foundation Continues “มอบโอกาส สร้างอาชีพ” Year 3 Bringing Opportunities to People with Disabilities in Nonthaburi

The Osotspa Foundation continues its mission of empowering people with disabilities by providing vocational equipment to 32 individuals across 6 occupations in Nonthaburi Province. The handover ceremony was led by Mrs.Sutida Siamharn, Board Member of the Osotspa Foundation and Head of Corporate Communications and CSR, Osotspa Public Company Limited, along with Mr. Kriangsak Trongsiri, Governor of Nonthaburi, and Ms. Darunee Manaswanich, Provincial Social Development and Human Security Officer of Nonthaburi, at the Nonthaburi Disability Service Center.

Nonthaburi marks the second consecutive year that the Osotspa Foundation has brought career-building opportunities to people with disabilities in the province. This year, 32 participants took part in skills training and received vocational equipment to help them generate income and care for themselves sustainably. One of the most popular career choices among people with disabilities in the area is recycled plastic weaving, a craft that the Osotspa Foundation has continuously supported. Local groups have been able to work together efficiently, learning and producing woven products as a source of income.

The “มอบโอกาส สร้างอาชีพ” project aims to create sustainable opportunities for people with disabilities by providing them with the means to earn a living and care for themselves. This initiative is a partnership between the Osotspa Foundation and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, now in its third year. The project extends support beyond legal requirements, providing follow-up and ongoing support in collaboration with local social development offices and community networks.

In 2025, the project targets supporting 150 people with disabilities across four provinces: Nonthaburi, Ayutthaya, Chai Nat, and Uthai Thani, across 10 occupations, including livestock farming, vegetable and ornamental plant cultivation, fried meatball and grilled chicken/pork skewer sales, recycled plastic weaving, craftsmanship, laundry services, Thai massage, and hairdressing.

Mr. Kriangsak Trongsiri, Governor of Nonthaburi, remarked "มอบโอกาส สร้างอาชีพ” project is extremely beneficial to people with disabilities in the area. Many of them lack access to government services and career opportunities. This project provides them with knowledge and skills aligned with their individual talents and capabilities, enabling them to earn an income and live independently with dignity. It also helps reduce household expenses and financial burdens, positively impacting the overall community. This initiative truly offers opportunities to vulnerable groups and people with disabilities across various communities."
