Osotspa Foundation Partners with Ministry of Social Development and Human Security to Provide Vocational Training and Equipment to 150 People with Disabilities in Four Provinces, Enabling Sustainable Livelihoods

The Osotspa Foundation continues its mission to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities by partnering with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security and its provincial offices in four central provinces: Nonthaburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Chai Nat, and Uthai Thani. Together, they provide vocational training and essential tools to support disadvantaged individuals with disabilities, exemplifying strong collaboration aimed at empowering vulnerable groups with sustainable income opportunities and promoting self-reliance.
Mr. Thana Chaiprasit, Vice Chairman of the Osotspa Foundation, shared that the “มูลนิธิโอสถสภามอบโอกาส สร้างอาชีพ” project is now in its third consecutive year. In 2025, the Foundation is supporting 150 people with disabilities by offering training and providing them with career-starting equipment across three key occupational categories: trade, services and handicrafts, livestock and agriculture. The program targets individuals aged 18–65 with various types of disabilities, selected through a four-dimensional assessment process conducted by the project committee. This ensures alignment with each participant’s capabilities, interests, and local market demands. The success of the initiative is made possible through close collaboration with the provincial Social Development and Human Security offices, which help identify candidates, develop follow-up strategies, and conduct ongoing evaluations with the primary goal of maximizing long-term benefits for people with disabilities.
The “มูลนิธิโอสถสภามอบโอกาส สร้างอาชีพ” project was launched in 2023, and to date, the Osotspa Foundation has supported over 465 persons with disabilities across nine provinces. Guided by the philosophy of “teaching to fish rather than giving a fish,” the initiative underscores the belief that providing individuals with knowledge and the right tools empowers them to earn a sustainable income and lead to self-sufficient lives.
