Osotspa, Leading with Consumer Insights, Innovating Beverages with Less Than 6% Sugar

Osotspa Public Company Limited (OSP) continues to lead the energy and functional beverage market, achieving a major milestone in promoting consumer health. The company has reformulated its entire beverage portfolio to contain less than 6% sugar while enriching products with beneficial nutrients—offering healthier choices without compromising the delicious taste that consumers love. This reinforces OSP’s position as an industry leader committed to raising Thailand’s beverage standards.

Ms. Wannipa Bhakdibutr, Chief Executive Officer, explained that while good health is now a key priority for modern consumers, “delicious taste” remains essential. Osotspa addressed this challenge by deeply understanding consumer insights. In 2019, the company incorporated “promoting consumer health and well-being” into the OSP Sustainability Framework, setting a target to reduce sugar content below 6% across all products by 2025. Progress has been continuously monitored over five years, achieving the goal without affecting its existing consumer base.

“We began with two key questions: ‘Can energy and functional drinks reduce sugar while remaining delicious?’ and ‘How can we make consumers feel good both while drinking and for long-term health?’ These questions led to innovations that are both delicious and healthy, aligned with WHO nutritional guidelines and Thailand’s RDI, helping reduce the risk of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Osotspa delivers not just refreshment, but a new standard of beverages that are healthy, enjoyable, and accessible every day, said Ms. Wannipa.

In addition to product reformulation, Osotspa believes good nutrition should be accessible to all. The company established the OSP Health and Nutrition Policy for its full beverage portfolio domestically and internationally, guided by three pillars:

  1. Products must be both delicious and healthy, with ongoing development and improvement.
  2. Production processes must be responsible, following sound nutritional principles and standards.
  3. Communication and labeling must provide accurate, complete information, ensuring consumers can easily access nutritious beverages at an affordable price.

This demonstrates that Osotspa is more than a beverage manufacturer—it is a pioneer in integrating health into the lifestyle of modern consumers.
